Welcome to our Team Page!
In Peel Region, thousands of men, women and children are homeless on any given night. Together we can change this statistic.
Over the next few months, we will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Canada Life Cup to raise funds and awareness for two local homeless support agencies right here in the city: Regeneration Outreach and Armagh.
As a result of COVID-19, HHTH has had to reimagine what their event could look like in the age of a pandemic. With our safety in mind, they’ve decided to shift from their typical tournament format to a reimagined fundraiser where Canadian communities come together to shutout homelessness.
Right now, Peel Region’s homeless need our help more than ever. Homeless shelters in the city have been drained of funding and resources in order to support the new unprecedented costs they are facing as a result of COVID-19 including additional staffing costs, personal protective equipment (PPE), increased sanitation and food security. As we enter the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, our beneficiaries are still recovering from the effects of the first. Since March, they have been working around the clock to ensure our community’s most vulnerable residents are safe. But they can’t do it alone.
You can make a difference by donating generously to any of our team members. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal and shutout homelessness in Peel Region. Hockey tournament or not, it’s bigger than the game and we can all be part of the solution.
Wish to donate by cheque? Cheques should be made payable to Hockey Helps the Homeless and mailed to Head Office at 44 East Beaver Creek, Unit #4, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1G8.
