Welcome to Unity Project's Team Page!
Homelessness is a crisis, both for those experiencing it and within our London community. This crisis preceded the pandemic, which has deepened it for individuals and further exposed systemic gaps and failures. It has also brought greater public awareness that income and housing is a public health issue and brought greater public unity to the cause.
Homelessness is solveable and there is an appetite for something better. You can help us recover and make lasting change on the other side of this pandemic.
This summer, Unity Project is participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Canada Life Cup to raise funds and awareness in support of: Merrymount Family Crisis Centre, Mission Services of London ad Unity Project.
Though we can’t gather for a congregated live game of hockey, we can muster the spirit of the game for the cause.
Our team will be amongst many others in London, fundraising amongst family, friends and colleagues. We hope you will donate and/or join our team to help us fundraise among your colleagues, family and friends. OR, perhaps you can gather a team of 15+ players of your own and join right in!
We need your help more than ever - to persevere in the short term, to recover on the other side of this pandemic and to bring our experience and advocacy for systemic change.
You can make a difference by donating generously to any of our team members or to the team. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal and shutout homelessness in London. Hockey tournament or not, it's bigger than the game and we can all be part of the solution.
Wish to donate by cheque? Cheques should be made payable to Hockey Helps the Homeless and mailed to Head Office at 44 East Beaver Creek, Unit #4, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1G8. Please specify player name in the memo line. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
