As a real estate broker I have the pleasure of assisting people in buying or selling their home yet it is disturbing to know that in Montreal there are over 3,000 men, women and children who are homeless on any given night. Together we can help change this; on March 31st, I will again this year participate in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Tournament in Montreal, raising awareness and funds for over 16 local homeless support agencies in the city.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in various ways that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, health & wellness, transportation initiatives, training & employment, mental health support and education. However we need more help.
