In the Barrie area, it is estimated that over 700 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On March 3rd, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Barrie Tournament, raising awareness and funding for two local homeless support agencies right here in Barrie.

If you know me at all, I can't think of a better fundraiser than anything that involves lacing up the skates for a good cause. This charity continues to help so many both directly in Barrie and across Canada to shutout homelessness and ensure every Canadian has a roof over the head.

There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets.  We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.
