There are thousands of homeless in our cities and communities on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On April 22, 2023, I will be travelling from the top-selling master-planned community of Viera, Florida and returning to participate on the Boom 97.3 team in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Bay Street Tournament at Scotiabank Pond in my hometown of Toronto, Canada. I will be skating alongside NHL Alumni to raise awareness and funding for Eva's Initiatives, a homeless support agency.
There is more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and my older brother is one of those stories in Toronto. That is why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment - but we need your help to make a difference.
