Welcome to my Personal Page!
Hi Friends,
I hope you have all been keeping well.
It has been a long time since I last laced up my skates and participated in this great charitable event. In fact, it was more than 8 years ago, pre hip replacement and back when I was still playing goal. Fast forward, and I am back and ready to do it again, but this time as a forward. But this is not about hockey, this is about helping out in the community to try to make a difference for those less fortunate. Your support and generosity will be greatly appreciated, no amount is too little.
In York Region, it is estimated that 300 to 500 youth between the ages of 13 to 24 are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On December 9th, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless York Region Tournament, raising awareness and funding for 360°Kids and Blue Door, two local youth support agencies right here in York Region.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and help bring hope to our most vulnerable!
Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
