This summer we are participating in the 2020 virtual Hockey Helps the Homeless Canada Life Cup to raise funds and awareness to benefit the local youth shelter Eva’s Initiatives. John and I were fortunate to experience the September 2019 "live" tournament and were greatly inspired by many. We had the opportunity to join the Team Prime Time in this year's tournament, now virtual due to Covid-19.
Team Prime Time came together with the Prime family's strength and conviction and in honour and memory of (the late) Steve Prime. Steve's deep passion and undaunted energy in support of homeless and vulnerable youth has continued to inspire us all. 100% of the net proceeds raised at the tournament go to Eva's Initiatives for Homeless Youth in Toronto.
Right now, Toronto’s homeless youth need our help more than ever. Homeless shelters in the city have been drained of funding and resources in order to support the new unprecedented costs they are facing as a result of COVID-19 including additional staffing costs, personal protective equipment (PPE), transportation, increased sanitation and food security. Since March, they have been working around the clock to ensure our community’s most vulnerable residents are safe. But they can’t do it alone. They need our help!
You can make a difference! Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal and shutout homelessness in Toronto. Hockey tournament or not, it's bigger than the game and we can all be part of the solution. Please be a game changer today by supporting the cause to help bring hope to our most vulnerable through these difficult times. Thanks for your support!
