In Edmonton, it is estimated that over 2,000 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. Right now, Edmonton's homeless need our help more than ever before. While life as we know it has changed drastically, the fight continues for our community’s most vulnerable and frontline workers that serve them.
On May 6th, 2022, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Hockey Tournament to raise awareness and funding for two local homeless support agencies right here in Edmonton, Jasper Place Wellness Centre and The Mustard Seed. This is your opportunity to make a direct impact in our community where 100% of the net proceeds stay in Edmonton. To date, Edmonton tournaments have raised over $1 million and this year’s fundraising goal of $250,000 is no small endeavor.
Jasper Place Wellness Centre is an Edmonton-based Community Development Organization that takes an entrepreneurial approach to five critical areas of community growth: Housing Development, Employment, Education, Health Care, and Food Security.
The Mustard Seed offers a range of different programs and services to their community’s most vulnerable by providing basic needs (food, clothing, hygiene items) education, employment programs, health and wellness services, spiritual care, housing, and emergency shelter.
Become a game changer today by supporting the cause and support my fundraising campaign. Join me and others who’ve taken the pledge to help bring hope to our most vulnerable!
