In Edmonton, more than 2000 children, women and men experience homelessness on any given night, let alone during our harsh winters. Together, we can change this statistic. On May 1st, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Edmonton tournament for the second time, raising awareness and funding for The Mustard Seed and Jasper Place Wellness Centre. I've also had the privilege of volunteering for the tournament as a Team Host.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment — but we need your involvement.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and helping bring hope to our community.
Thank you to everyone for your contributions. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
