Welcome to my Personal Page!
In Edmonton, it is estimated that over 2000 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On May 1st, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Edmonton Tournament, raising awareness and funding for two local homeless support agencies right here in the city:
Jasper Place Wellness Centre
The Jasper Place Wellness Centre is an Edmonton based charity that focuses on an entrepreneurial approach to 5 critical areas of community growth to end homelessness; Housing/Development, Employment, Education, Health Care, and Food Security.
The Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed has been focused on eliminating homelessness and reducing poverty in Edmonton since 1984. The organization provides basic services, housing, and support programs to those in need and works to build hope and well being for our most vulnerable citizens.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and help bring hope to our most vulnerable!
