our fine team in 2021!
Welcome to Louanne Wong's page!
In Vancouver, it is estimated that over 3,600 men, women, and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On November 25th, 2022 I will be participating in my third "Hockey Helps the Homeless Vancouver" tournament, to raise awareness + funding for local homeless support agencies right here in our fine city.
Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but the combined impact of soaring inflation with the backdrop of COVID means everything is even all the more unaffordable here, and we need your help.
I'm proud to be on a team with a group of fun, courageous, and generous souls whom I've met through women's or coed hockey. Last year, the effort raised over $750,000, and we're hoping to beat that total. Thank you for considering to support this worthy cause, by bringing hope to our most vulnerable in the downtown eastside and beyond.
Wish to donate by cheque? Cheques should be made payable to Hockey Helps the Homeless and mailed to Head Office at 44 East Beaver Creek, Unit #4, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1G8. Please specify player name in the memo line. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
