Hi Everyone, On May 1 of this year I was supposed to be playing in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Tournament in Edmonton to raise awareness and funding for two local homeless support agencies in Edmonton: The Mustard Seed and Jasper Place Wellness Center. 50% of our teams proceeds are also going towards the Edson Friendship Center so we can provide more local support in Edson. Covid 19 didn't allow the tournament to take place this year but our team along with others are still in the game to help the homeless by supporting these charities. Please offer support so we can help some less fortunate people. No need to remind everyone that winter is around the corner and will bring harsh challenges for these brothers and sisters in need.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and help bring hope to our most vulnerable!
