A message from Peter Newsome
It's that time again! Last year we raised over $750,000 to fight homelessness in the Greater Vancouver Area, and this year I hope we can break one million. Every year at this event I am moved by the guest speakers that either work on the front lines or have lived in the trenches benefiting from the various charities we support with this event. The impact this annual fundraiser has on our community changes peoples lives and I'm grateful for my role in this amazing cause. I hope I can count on you for any contribution however small or large to help shut out homelessness in Vancouver

In Vancouver, it is estimated that over 3,600 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On November 25th, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Vancouver Tournament, raising awareness and funding for local homeless support agencies right here in the city.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.

Wish to donate by cheque? Cheques should be made payable to Hockey Helps the Homeless and mailed to Head Office at 44 East Beaver Creek, Unit #4, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1G8. Please specify player name in the memo line. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
