On May 1st, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Edmonton Tournament, raising awareness and funding for two local homeless support agencies: The Mustard Seed and the Jasper Place Wellness Centre.
In Edmonton, it is estimated that over 2000 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. It supports organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness.
The Mustard Seed is one of these organizations. Our mission is to build hope and well-being for our most vulnerable citizens through Jesus’ love. Serving Edmonton since 1988, we offer an expansive range of programs and services to people experiencing poverty and homelessness by providing basic needs (food, clothing, hygiene items), employment programs, health and wellness services, spiritual care, housing, and emergency shelter.
The Jasper Place Wellness Center is a local community development organization that takes an entrepreneurial approach to 5 critical areas of community growth: housing/development, employment, education, health care, and food security. For over 12 years, they have been working to continuously explore and provide innovative and accessible health and community-based solutions.
I appreciate your consideration in partnering with Hockey Helps the Homeless, The Mustard Seed, and the Jasper Place Wellness Centre! If you have any questions about the tournament, its impact on the community, or The Mustard Seed, I would love to tell you more. Please feel free to contact me at email@example.com. Thank you for your support.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and help bring hope to our most vulnerable!
Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
