On any given night, there are between 169,000 and 195,000 individuals in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga that experience poverty or are on the brink of becoming homeless. Let that sink in! There are many luxuries we often take for granted in our everyday lives, which is why it’s especially important to give back.
I'm confident we can change that statistic together.
This year, not only will my company, FCT, be supporting the HHTH Peel Region tournament on February 28th, but I am participating in the FCT engagement program where funds raised will support two beneficiaries - Living Rock Youth Resources and Youth Without Shelter.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. They support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and help make a difference!
