This November 8th, on Remembrance Day Weekend, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Halifax Tournament to raise awareness and funding for VETS Canada, a very deserving organization that supports homeless and at-risk veterans right here in Nova Scotia.
In Halifax, a city with a large military presence, the proceeds from HHTH helps organisations such as VETS Canada. Working with communities, VETS Canada members attempt to move homeless veterans from the street into affordable housing. They also connect veterans with needed health care, access to benefits and services to help them re-establish themselves. Your donation will also help in the operation of the newly opened Drop-in Centre located at 170 Ochterloney, here in Dartmouth.
Be a part of the change! Please support our worthy cause and help bring hope to those most in need! You can make a difference by donating generously to my personal page. Together, with your support, we can shutout Veteran Homelessness in Halifax!
Wish to donate by cheque? Cheques should be made payable to Hockey Helps the Homeless and mailed to Head Office at 44 East Beaver Creek, Unit #4, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1G8. Please include my name in the memo line. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
