On any given night over 6000 youth are homeless across Canada, but together we can change this statistic. On March 1st, I, alongside my friends will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Queen's University Tournament, raising awareness and funding for a vital local youth support agency, the Kingston Youth Shelter.
Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. They support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.
In my fourth and final year of particpating in this tournament as a student, I've decided to increase my fundraising goal to $600! I hope I can count on you for your support.
