This November 9th, on Remembrance Day Weekend, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Tournament in Halifax, to raise awareness and funding for VETS Canada, a very deserving organization that supports homeless and at-risk veterans.
Since 2014, the organization's volunteers have responded to nearly 600 requests for assistance from veterans in need throughout the province; with the number of received requests growing significantly each year. On average, VETS Canada can stretch $3000 to cover the costs of moving a Veteran from absolute homelessness to permanent housing and healthy living. This includes temporary accommodations, damage deposit, first and last month's rent for a new home, food, clothing and furniture.
Be a part of the change! Please support our worthy cause and help bring hope to those most in need! You can make a difference by donating generously to my personal page. Together, with your support, we can shutout Veteran Homelessness!
Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
