I have been participating each year in HHTH, ever since they created a womens division back in 2012. I participate for three reasons:
1) I love hockey!
2) I feel very strongly that more needs to be done for the homeless in here in Vancouver.
3) HHTH is a well-run and efficient charity, and I get to see the results of my donations.
Last year we achieved a record-breaking $360,000+ going directly to local charities. My hope is that, this year, we break the record yet again. Please consider making a donation this year. Thank you.
Sincerely, Tara Loseth (T-Zilla)
In Vancouver, it is estimated that over 3600 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On November 23, I will be participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless Vancouver Tournament, raising awareness and funding for local homeless support agencies right here in the city.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets. We support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through housing, transportation initiatives, mental health support, education, health and wellness, training and employment, but we need your help.
Be a game changer today by supporting the cause and help bring hope to our most vulnerable!
Wish to donate by cheque? Cheques should be made payable to Hockey Helps the Homeless and mailed to Head Office at 44 East Beaver Creek, Unit #4, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1G8. Please specify player name in the memo line. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of the donation for all gifts $25 and above.
